Donald L. Heaney, William J. Mulligan, Anne E. Ross and Thomas S. Sleik have all been named a "Leader in the Law" by the Wisconsin Law Journal. The publication gives out the annual honor for outstanding contributions to the practice of law, including: leadership in advancing legal services to the poor, important contributions to Wisconsin's legal community and important contributions to the community at large.

Donald Heaney, a lawyer in the Madison office of Lathrop & Clark, is also being honored with a "Lifetime Achievement" award. Heaney has served on the Board of Directors for WILMIC since the company was formed in 1986.

William Mulligan, a partner at the Milwaukee office of Davis & Kuelthau, serves as chairman of the Board of Directors for WILMIC and has held that position since 1988.

Anne Ross, managing partner of the Madison office of Foley & Lardner, has served on the Board of Directors for WILMIC since 1987.

Thomas Sleik, a partner in the La Crosse office of Hale, Skemp, Hanson, Skemp & Sleik, has served on the Board of Directors for WILMIC since 1997.

All four directors will be featured in the Leaders in the Law magazine published on May 19, and also will be honored at a luncheon ceremony at the Italian Community Center in Milwaukee on May 16.
