Thomas S. Sleik first served a one-year term on the Board in 1993 as a recent past-president of the State Bar and returned four years later to take an elected seat. A partner is the La Crosse firm of Hale, Skemp, Hanson, Skemp & Sleik, the largest firm in the region, Sleik concentrates his practice on general trial work, including personal injury, divorce, employment law and business litigation.

Sleik views his role on the Board as representing the interests of lawyers in small-to-medium size firms who face the challenge of balancing practice responsibilities with a commitment to family and community. Sleik also serves on the Board's Executive Committee.
